Trish Yates wins residency in Japan

OB member Trish Yates entered her concertina artist book titled ‘Wandering the Eucalypt Forest’ in the Mokuhanga Innovation Laboratory prize, at the ‘Beauty of Mokuhanga- Sensibility and Discipline’ exhibition she is attending in Hawaii. It is an international juried competition for woodblock prints as part of the conference.

Her award is a 35 day residency in June or August (TBC) in Japan. The venue will be in the foothills of Mt Fuji.

‘Mokuhanga’ is Japanese for woodblock, and is used to describe water based pigment woodblock printmaking.
