MICHAEL DINGLEY
Having come to printmaking late in life after many years of photography, I now gain inspiration when using high powered microscopes and I translate my observations into either drawings or photographs from whence I hand alter to realise my compositions. I use a variety of methods to produce my images and I am also able to introduce different lighting conditions to enhance some and reduce structures within my field of view. I transfer my images on to photopolymer plates and then print intaglio. I am also gaining skills in woodblock and lino cutting with my mentor being Roslyn Kean, and hope to combine these different printmaking skills in the future.
